Do you ever feel frustrated when your knitting doesn’t go as planned? Whether you’ve dropped a stitch, made an accidental lace hole, or found an error several rows back, learning how to correct common mistakes can help you feel more confident and empowered in your knitting.
In this hands-on class, you’ll discover how to:
- Un-knit or "Tink" Stitches – Learn the simple technique of un-knitting one stitch at a time when you spot a mistake.
- Fix Dropped Stitches – Master the art of picking up and securing dropped stitches without unraveling your whole project.
- Ladder Down and Up – Learn how to carefully unravel a section of your project (ladder down) and re-knit it (ladder back up) to restore the pattern.
- Insert Life Lines – Prevent future panic by inserting life lines to mark rows, allowing you to safely rip back to any point in your project.
This class is perfect for knitters of all levels who want to gain the skills to fix mistakes with ease. Bring along any in-progress project that has mistakes you need help with, and we’ll troubleshoot together! If you don't have any such projects, please knit a simple swatch (don't cast off) that you can bring to the class to practice on.
