About this event

Make your own reusable crochet market bag over two fun evenings. I’ll guide you through the mesh stitch, shaping, and sturdy handle so you can head home with a bag you’ll actually use all summer.

What we’ll cover
  • Working in the round
  • Simple mesh stitch for a lightweight, stretchy bag
  • Shaping the base
  • Making a strong and comfy handle
  • Tips for keeping your stitch count on track
  • Finishing touches so it looks as good as it functions

Who it’s for
  • Confident beginners and up (you should know how to chain and do treble crochet)
  • Great if you’ve made a granny square and want your next “real project”

What you’ll leave with
  • A market bag that’s well on its way (and very likely close to finished)
  • A clear plan to finish any remaining rounds at home
  • Notes on sizing it up/down depending on how much you like to carry

What to bring
  • A 4.0 or 4.5mm crochet hook
  • a few stitch markers
  • A tapestry needle for finishing

Good to know
  • This is a relaxed, friendly class — questions welcome and no pressure to be “perfect.”
  • Cotton yarn is included
  • Tea and biscuits included, as always.

Book your spot early — spaces are limited so I can give everyone plenty of hands-on help.
